Actually, the eight themed areas are located around a massive lagoon, where a thematic display called Universal’s Cinematic Spectacular: “100 Years of Movie Memories” is showcased along with pyrotechnics, water works, and laser shows.
There are annual events like “Grad Bash and Gradventure”, “Halloween Horror Nights”, “Rock the Universe”, etc.that are taking place around the year. Depending on any particular event which interests you the most, you can plan your visit around that time of the year.

Universal Studios Florida is a movie and television entertainment industry inspired theme park built over 107 acres of land and is part of the Universal Orlando Resort. Opened in 1990, Universal Studios Florida aims to make visitor feel as if they are a part of the popular movies, TV series, or even music videos that inspires its attractions. They hold several special events round the year and the visitors can also experience shopping and themed dining.
The park has been designed to incorporate eight themed areas:-
It features the rides, “Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride”, “The Blue Brothers Show”, “Delancey Street Preview Centre”, and the soon to be unveiled, “Race through New York” Featuring Jimmy Fallon. The area also hosts a bar and grill and an Italian restaurant as well as some commercial franchise and merchandise shops.
It features Beetlejuice’s MashUp and a dining area, but is undergoing construction to transform it into “LA area”.
It is home to the rides “Universal’s Horror Make-up Show” and the “Terminator 2 3D: Battle Across Time”. Here too you have several dining options available and Terminator merchandise shops.
“Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem”, “Shrek 4D”, “Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit”, “Transformers: The Ride”, and “The Universal Music Plaza Stage” are the rides at the Production Central Area, which also hosts quite a few restaurants and shops as well.
The Diagon Alley/ London area features two rides of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter- “the Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts” and the “Hogwarts Express”. This place also features the restaurant “The Leaky Cauldron” and various “signature shops” from the Harry Potter series.
The Springfield area is modeled after the town featured in the popular animated sitcom “The Simpsons” and has the “Kwik-E-Mart”, “Krusty Burger”, and “Moe’s Tavern” just like the show.
The World Expo area features the rides “Fear Factor Live” and “Men in Black: Alien Attack”, its other two rides “The Simpsons Ride” and“Kang &Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl” overlaps with the Springfield area.
Finally, the Woody Woodpecker’s Kidzone features the rides “Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster”, “Fievel’s Playland”, “E.T. Adventure”, “Curious George Goes to Town”, and “A Day in the Park with Barney” as well as stage shows featuring animal actors
