Thousand Islands Conservation Area

Housing development and mosquito control have had major impact in the recreation and conservation facilities in Thousand Islands.

One of the effects of mosquito control dredging in the southern part of the Thousand Islands was the creation of a maze of small canals. These small canals are more than useful for canoeing.
