The Miami Metro Zoo is an excellent place in Florida that’s spans a whopping 750 acres of land. This one is the only tropical zoo in the US continent and one of the finest ones in the entire world. 1. Giraffe:

You can remember this for a long time that you fed kale from your hand to a 20 feet long giraffe. 4. Gorilla:
Gorilla, an endangered animal but extremely lovable only through the cage. The Miami Zoo had one male Gorilla named, JJ, who died a few years ago. The 50-year-old Josephine had also passed away who stayed for quite a few years with JJ. However, the leadership role among the gorillas is now with 42-year-old Fredrika, who is now the sort of in charge of the female gorillas and have many fans around Miami. It is expected that Fredrika will now be moved to some other institution in order to socialize with other gorillas.
5. Lions:
Lions, the king of the jungle is not less than that at the Miami Zoo. Here you will find a miraculous family of lions where you will see 1 male, 1 female and then 5 cubs. The lions at the zoo are quite enjoyable to see and in return, they just want some good attention and respect, both from the visitors and their caretakers as well.
6. Zebra:
The zoo houses two distinct species of zebra, namely, Brant and Grevy. They are distinguishable with their distinctive stripe patterns. The zoo has 3 zebras, where one is a male and two females and they become a source of enjoyment for several hundred visitors every day.
7. Tiger:
One of the rarest breeds of tigers, Sumatran, could be found here in the Zoo. According to an estimate, less than 400 tigers of this breed are only remaining today. There are 2 such lions in the zoo, where one is a male, aged 9 years and the other female, aged 6 years. Both of them generally are laid back but can get aggressive with their keepers, which most of the visitors have also seen and enjoyed.
8. Florida Black Bear:
This is one of the most exotic native animals of Florida. Libby and Laurel are the 2 most lovable black bears that you can find in the zoo. Both are females, aged 6 and were transferred to Miami Zoo from Akron Zoo, and are loved by Miami Zoo visitors, since then.
9. Meerkats:
The meerkats found in this zoo are quite perky and cute. They exist in fairly large groups and then divide their basic duties such as hunting food and also keeping guard. There is a group of 4 meerkats in the zoo where two are males and two females. They are looked after quite well by the zoo keepers and are very often provided with their different favorite toys, new food items and new smells for them to enjoy.
10. Camel:
Oscar and Sarah are the two Dromedary camels found here in the zoo. Both of them are quite friendly, social and outgoing with no fuss at all. Then there are two other, Bactrian camels and these are the ones that have two humps, unlike the Dromedary, that has only one. Visitors just love to see this animal, feed them and to take pictures outside its enclosure.
